Icarus News! March 2026

Greetings gamers, and welcome to the March news roundup!

As more and more platforms continue to require increasing levels of age verification for access, it's becoming harder and harder to find a space to stay reliably connected with your audience as a small creator.

So this blog series is my answer. It's a way for me to wax lyrical about the cool stuff I've been up to lately, shout out projects by my creator friends, and gives me a direct line to you so you can get the latest hot gossip from Icarus HQ!

So let's dive into it!

New Weird Monster Builder

For the past month I have been working on a big update to my GM Toolkit, a weird monster builder!

This is a 1-click generator which gives you a monster's statblock balanced for its CR, as well as a suite of abilities, information on resistances and immunities, treasure, and a selection of mutations to inspire you to make weird and wonderful monsters.

You can grab this as part of my GM Toolkit by signing up to my email newsletter.

March's Videos

Let's take a look at some of the videos I've released this month!

In this video I continue my series where I show you how to use the Affinity app to publish TTRPG books and make better looking homebrew documents. This video is all about the new free version of Affinity and how it compares to Affinity 2.

In this members-only video I explore fallen empires and how they can impact your setting, using the Akmeri from my world of Istar as an example!

This month I started working on a brand new campaign setting.

Sunscar: The Radiant Crown

This is going to be a west-marches style sandbox setting which I will be developing in the weekly livestreams over the coming months and hopefully releasing as a full setting guide in the future too!

The first couple stream VODs developing Sunscar are already on the channel so make sure to check them out if you love getting into the worldbuilding weeds.

That’s all from Icarus HQ for this month.

If you never want to miss one of these roundups, make sure you’re subscribed to the newsletter so these land straight in your inbox. And I'd love to know what sort of stuff you'd like to see covered in future installments? Do you want more BTS stuff, more ramblings, or do you just want the headlines! Let me know below.

Until next month
Much love
Anto
