The New Icarus Games Website Is Live!
Greetings gamers, I am incredibly pleased to welcome you to the brand new Icarus Games Website!
This month Icarus Games celebrates 10 years of operation and this is easily the most proud I've been of our website in the last decade!
Play More. Prep Less
This whole process began with a lot of introspection and thinking about what I want the next chapter of the Icarus Games journey to be, and trying to distill the "value proposition" of my products down into a really solid idea.
What I settled on was a simple, four-word tagline; Play More. Prep Less.
I think this encapsulates everything I have tried to do with my products over the last decade, whether it's class cheat sheets, campaign trackers, adventure anthologies, or anything else, I am always trying to make products to make your life easier at the table.
A lot of this introspection and this sort of mini-rebrand came as a result of winning the UK Enterprise Award earlier this year. It was a huge honor to win, but it also really clearly helped me to understand this is what you're meant to be doing.
So the new website has been built around the pillars of accessibility and usability.
This commitment to making sure I am providing the best, most useful products possible did lead to the new site getting delayed as I took a little detour to remaster the entire SIDEQUEST catalogue, bringing all the individual issues up to date and adding accessibility features to them all, but it was absolutely worth it.
With the launch of the new website you'll be able to pick up a bunch of products while have been unavailable for a while, as well as some new products, including the SIDEQUEST Year 3 in print and PDF!
More Content, More Often
The other big thing I am really excited about with the launch of the new Icarus Games website is the return of our newsletter.
Like the website itself, the newsletter has been neglected for a long time, mainly because the platforms I was using before just weren't up to scratch.
The new newsletter is built right into the same platform as the website and is going to be much easier to manage, but I can also join the 21st century and do email automations which means I can give you free stuff as soon as you sign up to the newsletter!
Everyone that signs up to the newsletter will get my free GM toolkit as soon as they sign up, and then over the next week you get some more freebies and useful tools.
Then every month I will be sending out free 5e content, along with the latest news, posts, videos, and features from special guests!
I am really excited for the future of the website and the future of Icarus Games in general, and whether you have just found me today or have been here for the last 10 years, I just wanted to say thank you for your support!
