SIDEQUEST is a love letter to the gaming 'zines of old, and is packed with 5e compatible content to inspire you. Whether you are a game master or player you'll find something to use within the pages of SIDEQUEST.
What's Inside
This issue of SIDEQUEST includes:
- The Akmeri Empire: There is no group of people more important to the history of the world of Istar than the Akmeri, For a thousand years they were the paragons of science, technology, and magic, and then in the blink of an eye their entire civilization was destroyed and their people vaporized. This article covers some of their history and the impact of the Akmeri Cataclysm.
- The Formless: A new ancestry that is inspired by the Akmeri; a race of beings with no defined form who are able to draw on strange powers to change their being.
- Ishara, Fist of the Phoenix: Ishara is our new iconic Monk who will be appearing in art and adventures in the future. This article introduces her backstory and gives you a statblock and short quest hook to use her in your games.
- The Corpseweaver: The corpseweaver is the apex predator of the shapechanger world. Where mimics can only make crude imitations of objects, and doppelgangers can only portray a creature as well as their powers of deception, a corpseweaver absorbs the bones and brain of their victim and becomes them. There is no finer tool of subterfuge and assassination in all the realms than a well paid corpseweaver.
All the mechanical content in this issue is compatible with the 2014 version of Dungeons and Dragons Fifth Edition.
Download includes a 12-page bookmarked PDF and tokens for using Ishara and the Corpseweaver in VTT play.
What People Are Saying
I've used content from Sidequest in my own world to save me creating monsters and inspire me with quests and other things, which has been especially useful as a newbie!
